Signature Events
Every year, APASA hosts over a dozen signature events to celebrate APIDA heritage and advocate for community issues. Here are some of our favorites.
WELCOME BACK SOCIAL
The kickoff to our annual programming. APASA welcomes both new and returning students to campus with arts, crafts, or other cultural activities — along with delicious food and refreshments! Features a new theme every year to highlight the diversity of the APIDA umbrella.
night market
One of our largest events of the year. APASA transforms USC’s McCarthy Quad into a bustling market of food, games, and student performances. Our member organizations run booths with activities specific to their cultural affinities, including origami, mahjong, and more! Attendees additionally enjoy a selection of mouth-watering food and drinks from local APIDA vendors.
Community dinner
Our premier preprofessional event. APASA invites twenty APIDA trailblazers to share their experiences with students over a meal. Past professionals have come from advocacy, business, and healthcare spaces, among many others. Join us to learn about their stories, and how their identities influence the work they do.
cultural art expo
A dazzling showcase. APASA welcomes APIDA creatives of all mediums to share their work with the USC community. Features live performances, art vendors, and student galleries. Come by and indulge in a night of APIDA art!
speaker NIGHT
Our most highly anticipated event of the year. APASA invites a prominent APIDA figure to share their story in front of an audience of hundreds. Past guests include Stephanie Hsu, Ali Wong, Hasan Minhaj, and Constance Wu — you don’t want to miss this!
