Event Expectations

Fall Semester Requirements

  • Participation in the following activities is required:

    • Fall Assembly Bonding Event

    • APASA Night Market (performance or booth)

    • September 1:1 Meeting w/ Co-ICCs

    • November 1:1 Meeting w/ Co-ICCs

Spring Semester Requirements

  • Participation in the following activities is required:

    • Spring Assembly Bonding Event

    • Asian Pacific American Heritage Festival (host your own event)

    • January 1:1 Meeting w/ Co-ICCs

    • April 1:1 Meeting w/ Co-ICCs


Membership Requirements

All APASA member organizations must:

  1. Be recognized and approved by the Office of Campus Activities, a division of Student Affairs at USC.

  2. Be in good standing, which includes participation in APASA events, attending all meetings, and complying with APASA’s constitution and bylaws.

  3. All member organizations are subjected to a review by the Executive Board to ensure their proper demeanor.


Representative Requirements

All APASA Member Organizations Representatives must:

  1. Attend all assembly meetings every Monday 6-7pm PST in TCC 350/351/352.

  2. Relay all APASA info to the rest of their organization’s board and ensure their organization meets all APASA deadlines.

  3. Submit APASA funding requests 7 weeks in advance and present them to the Assembly.

  4. Review and vote on funding applications and new APASA membership.

  5. Attend 1:1 meetings w/ the Co-ICCs twice per semester.


Strike System

To hold organizations and representatives accountable for their APASA responsibilities, the following strike system is implemented:

* Representatives must inform Co-ICCs if they make any schedule changes for 1:1s, even if said change is made more than 24 hours prior!

* Conduct violation strikes are dependent on the severity of the offense

After 2.5 strikes, the organization’s representative will be contacted. After 3 strikes, the organization will be given a probationary designation (with all accompanying restrictions) and USG and/or Campus Activities will be contacted appropriately.
